CU Wizards! Another great FREE STEAM show coming up SATURDAY, JUNE 18th!

“THE LIQUID CRYSTAL WIZARDS SHOW!”
University of Colorado, Boulder, Duane Physics 9:30-10:30 am
Kids, parents, makers will especially love this show that’s full of innovative ideas of how liquid crystals that you have around the home, including Karo Syrup, packaging tape and mica, can be creatively used to control and manipulate light to make beautiful displays of color!! This show, aimed esp. for grades 5-9 and esp. appropriate for STEAM enthusiasts, will move onto looking at how light interacts with liquid crystals and help us understand the stuff that’s in TV’s, watches and computer screens. Have you ever wondered why your black Australorp hen’s plumage appears iridescent green when she’s in sunlight? This show will give you some ideas! To cap off the show, and as a special grand finale of the 2015-2016 Wizards season, all parents and adults will be welcomed to participate in a large, fun-loving performance! Zowie!
