All too often at the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce, we find ourselves reviewing data and analyzing what still needs to happen to address gaps, shortcomings, and lack of representation for women in business.
This November, however, the CWCC is taking a moment to recognize the organizations that are taking measurable ACTION to impact these statistics.
Our NEW Champions of Change Award will acknowledge and applaud exemplary companies that are putting policies and practices into place that address the wage gap, gender equity, and pipeline management. They are companies that have taken it upon themselves to create meaningful change that will hopefully trickle down to entire industries.
Why are companies making changes?
- Good employers know that diversity practices increase their access to talent. In this PwC study, 80% of employers have aligned their diversity and recruitment strategies.
- Gender equality strengthens our economy.
- Monoculture is bad for business.
