René will share personal stories of the legends of flamenco and will bring these stories to life through his guitar music and authentic Gypsy choreography performed by his dancers. For more than 40 years, Maestro René Heredia has entertained audiences throughout Colorado with his authentic flamenco music and dance. A direct descendent of gitano flamenco, as passed down from of his Gypsy family, Heredia’s inspired performances are legendary in the Denver arts and entertainment scene. A gifted storyteller, Heredia introduces each dance and instrumental with a brief story of its origin. Some of the music comes directly from Spain. Others are original pieces by Heredia himself, but all of the notes reflect the passion and vitality of the flamenco tradition.
