The Boulder and Louisville community will come together in a community bike ride on Sunday, September 27, 2015 hosted by Dona Laurita Art Gallery (www.donalauritagallery.com) and The Cup Espresso Café.
The ARTCUP! bike ride will start at 9:00 a.m. and is open to anyone. The ride will begin at The Cup Espresso Café in Boulder and ride to the Dona Laurita Gallery in old town Louisville at 820 Main Street to view the “Love to Ride” exhibition. The gallery will be featuring art and design dedicated to the cycling culture. Riders will be treated to Conscious Coffee and baked goods from The Cup.
“ARTCUP is a way for the greater community to come together through physical activity and art,” said Dona Laurita, founder of the Dona Laurita Gallery. “Our current show will add another dimension to cycling with art pieces that capture bike culture.”
After taking in the artwork and mid-ride snacks, cyclists will head back to The Cup, where Boulder Green Streets’ Ciclovia 2015 event will be in full swing. Cyclists can take part in the festivities and sign up for Love to Ride Boulder.
Dona Laurita Gallery will also feature the exhibition as part of Louisville Art District’s First Friday Art Walk on Friday, October 2. The gallery will be open from 6:00-9:00 p.m. The exhibition incorporates many art disciplines from sculpture to drawings to paintings. The show is part of a partnership with Love to Ride Boulder and the Boulder Bike Challenge.
Over the past 25 years, Dona Laurita has been in the business of documenting life through photography and fine art.
